My blog is an eclectic mix of my views on street style and fashion today. My own wardrobe is influenced heavily by the 60's hippie 'peace and love' era which is encompassed in the blog also.

Easter Time!
Easter time woo! More like mega chocolate fest...
Although, we may have had snow the last few days here in Dublin, I felt a certain springtime look was in order for this day!
My sheer, patterned blouse is from Penneys. The purple, cream, and brown shades suit the day along with the aptly named 'Peter Pan' collar. As there promises to be many sweet goodies, the elastic waistband on my skirt is perfect! Looking sharp with room for chocolate...match made in heaven.
There is a chill in the air following our snowy weather, therefore, I completed my outfit with grey wolly tights and brown wedge boots.
My spring look is further continued with my cutesy yellow hair bow (totally not taken from a chocolate box...) and natural look make-up.
Happy Easter everyone!Friday, 29 March 2013
So guys. It's been a while! Please accept my sincerest apologies...
A little thing called London Fashion Week went down around mid-February and I was there with my college Fashion Society. No biggie sure! ....I jest, it was spectacular!
Here's my post on the Trinity Fashion Society's blog about the overall experience:

For such a super-stylin' occasion, a girl ,of course, needs to have some super-stylin' threads to walk the cobbled streets!
This is just a breakdown of my outfits over the three days for y'all!
Day 1: As this day was to consist of a lot of transport and walking around, the natural approach would have been to wear comfy clothes...not for this girl! Surprisingly, I decided to go for a rather chicer, more put-together look than I would normally go for. My top tip for travelling is layers, layers and more layers! From the bottom up I am wearing Penneys brogues, black tights, Penneys skirt, vintage red silk shirt, Forvever 21 short embellished jacket and my beloved Ralph Lauren jacket.
Day 2: After walking around 'Somerset House' a.k.a. the Fashion Centre of My World, the second day was the time to rev up the style levels! My teddy-boy shoes are from New Look, wolly polka-dot tights from Penneys, vintage black-lace skirt with side split, vintage blue silk shirt, Forever 21 bright yellow jumper with the ole RL jacket yet again. Also, my hair and accessories took a bit of a 'Karma Chameleon' turn with my side-swept locks, small plaits and massive feather earring!
Day 3: Yet again, my look became uncharacteristically chic. I like to think that my outfit was somewhat reminiscent of the recent Dior catwalk look (see below). My cute little slippers were a buy on the trip in Topshop (they have a MASSIVE shop on Oxford St) and a welcome change for my poor feet. Again, black tights were paired with a Penneys skirt, top and belt. I should've totally asked Penneys for sponsorship! My statement necklace hails from Pulse.
More London Fashion Week posts to come!! x

St. Patrick's Day
As I hail from The Emerald Isle, naturally, green, white and orange were my colours of choice today! My 'Kerry green' shirt is from Wild Child while my (well-loved/worn) orange cardigan is from New Look. Paired with a flowery hair bobbin, I was set for the day ahead!

What's a single gal like myself to do on this day of lovers........go shopping of course!
Today, my good friend Jack and I embarked upon some early morning vintage scouring in Temple Bar.
After browsing through the beauty that is the Urban Outfitters store, we meandered our way through the cobbled streets, happening upon a shop named 'siopaella'.
It boasts adorable charm and some merchandise. We were even greeted by a cute dog, what customer service!
I got a lovely black lace skirt but as it is packed away for London Fashion Week (yesssss!) I shall have to include photos in a new post soon.
My valentines day outfit mostly just consisted of whatever I could in my wardrobe with hearts. Therefore, this crop top from 'pimkie' and high-waisted 'H&M' were paired for the maximum love look!

Jack agreed to be my lovely male model...a first for this blog I may add! He found this great beige three-piece-suit for an amazing €45. As it's such a neutral colour he can go crazy with whatever shirt he chooses to go with it!

Fancy schwancy editorial attempt!
Editorial. Swit schwoo.
Lára and I knew we wanted to create a fun take on fashion with slogan t-shirts and I documented it in my last post. However, we wanted to try out a more mature and artsy style; the photos are also heavily reliant on light to produce dramatic shots!
As a newfound-avid 'Vogue' reader, I wanted to base our outfits on a photo from the magazine. Lára and I styled each other, also each acting as photographer.
My outfit is based on a photoshoot featuring Emma Stone. I chose this photo as I'm loving the shirt and tailoring suit look at the moment. It's a more serious take on our previous 'fun fashion' idea.
Lára used a lot of different textures to create a quirky, suit-like outfit. Instead of a flower broach, I'm wearing a garland under my hat and am wearing shorts, not trousers to give it a young look.
I styled Lára using a photo of Mia Wasikowska as inspiration. We wanted both outfits to have some sort of coherency so they're both quite fitted yet reminiscent of menswear. Lára's outfit is basically monochrome to convey the original look and act as a contrast to my mis-matchy outift.
Light was a key feature for our photos. We wanted to play with shading and used a bedside lamp in various positions to further experiment with bright and darkness.
Extra photos!
Mucho thanks again to the lovely Lára Phillips :)

Style Wars: Attack of the T-shirts. Slogan t-shirts to be exact.
Lára Phillips joined me this weekend for a day of fashion collaboration! Our first idea of a fun take on fashion is covered in this post...with more to come ;)
What could be more stylishy entertaining than a quirky tee with a funny saying or beloved cartoon character?
Whether you're trying to insire 'Save the Planet' thoughts like with my black t-shirt here or are simply calling for some good times like Lára in the yellow 'Let's Have S'more Fun' tee. Puns are always the way to go with t-shirts!
These are not just for kids as they can be dressed up by tucking into a skirt or even by adding that All Important Blazer with jeans.
Have some fun with fashion and get yo'self some terrific t-shirts!
Love Kate & Special Thanks to Lára
