The Debutante Ball beckoned. Whilst holidaying in America with the family, my father suggested I try this silver, extremely sparkly Ralph Lauren evening dress on. Although, skeptical at first, once I put it on I was sold. This designer dress was sold at a steal in the sales and I adore it. My shoes are Steve Madden and much to my surprise I was able to keep them on until 2.30am! My bag is from Tk Maxx and I completed my 40's movie star look with curls and red lips.

Blazers. A wise friend once told me "if in doubt, buy the blazer". Truer words were never spoken. The humble blazer jacket can be paired with just about anything. You have the close fit that suits a more sophisticated look without trying too hard and can be worn with a pretty skirt. In addition, it can be thrown over a jeans and t-shirt ensemble for a casual yet awesome collaboration! Genius!

Also, I feel a bit like Cailin Hill. Which is always a good thing.

Sometimes you just have to let your homemade t-shirts do the talking.

Obsessions are a tricky business. One of mine has to be feather earrings. Feather earrings are an intense passion and way of life for me. My trick is to wear one gigantic feather in one ear lobe (preferably my right ear if you're wondering) and a stud/non dangly earring in the other. My thing is definitely to change up my look by wearing lots of different earrings at the same time! So change it up and have fun!

My favourite accessory today? Has to be my fav ukulele 'Duke the Uke'! I got it in a great London shop called 'The Duke of Uke'. http://www.dukeofuke.co.uk/
Apparently, John Lennon got his first guitar in this very place...so I guess that's why I feel extra cool for strumming this beautiful instrument. After watching a guy playing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' on his uke, I knew this was the thing for me to learn! Following many hours and of chord sheet searching, video watching and tuning, I have turned into quite the uke enthusiast. Give it a go people!

Excuse me, I moustache you a question......never mind I'll shave it for later.  Shameless, I know. But I have decided that the new accessory for any self-respecting fashinista is in fact the humble moustache. They may attract unusual looks from onlookers, however, you can hold your head up high in the knowledge that underneath it all, they wish they had awoken and slapped a fake moustache on their face too. ;{P

This right here is my (soppily called) inspiration board. I thought I'd share this poster as it contains some of my hopes and dreams and motivational comments. Many of the things shown are bits and bobs lovingly ripped from magazines or newspapers that I found beautiful or relative to my life. I have my Oscar winners, Ms Portman, Ms Theron and Mr Plummer, as inspiration and motivation for the aspiring actor that is myself. I found these actors to be handworking and creative and therefore, hopefully, I can represent the acting craft in a small way one day.

Floral fancies today! This orange flowery top is from good ole Penneys and is worn over a long sleeve t-shirt for a chilly Irish outing. My deep maroon corduroy trousers are seriously comfy while still appearing like I've made an effort. They have been worn by myself to a few drama workshops and have not hindered the running/jumping/skipping/general frivolity therefore, I would recommend a good pair of tapered trousers for sheer versatility and style. The collared top adds an element of menswear and tailoring while the Converse keep it fun and youthful. Now to find a place to skip to!

Dublin Zombie Walk. Indeed, not words one often hears on a day-to-day basis. But on the 4th August, myself and some few thousand other souls donned our finest dead gear and blood to raise awareness and money for charity. I used an old green dress and splattered myself with the red stuff! My make-up, however, was the most fun part! I achieved the wounded-axe-wielding-human-attacked-zombie-look with simple make-up. Using sculpting wax, I created the cut by smoothing it onto my forehead and allowing the inner corners to be raised up. Blue, purple and black eye-shadow filled in the wound and the surrounding skin to show a bruised effect. Dollops of fake gloopy blood completed the look for the perfect zombiefied face!

Distressed double denim. Yes I went there. My outfit was in keeping again with the double denim trend but really in my own hobo-boho way! My graphic t-shirt peers out from behind my Om Diva jacket and is tucked into my Urban Outfitters shorts. Purple legs (okay tights!) and good 'ole Cons complete my look. With my tights and t-shirt I didn't appear too homeless but I loved the worn garments that brought me around on my day in town.

Typical uniform of a modern hippie goin' on today.
I got my Bobby D t-shirt and 'Dreamer' cardigan in a brilliant American shop called 'PacSun'. It is one of my life ambitions to one day own all that this particular haven stocks. On a more serious fashion note (heh), I think it's important to balance out one's outfits. I have my oversized print t-shirt and comfy cardigan on top and keep the outfit looking 'together' with my maroon skinnies (from Berska) and Bass brown leather boots. While still going out and attempting to look good on the streets of Dublin, I'm staying relaxing and keeping with my hippie persona.
